Those days you can buy lemonade in every supermarket but have you ever tried to a real homemade lemonade? It is so much easier than you imagine and the taste is delicious.
The essential ingredients are lemons, water and any sweetener (sugar, agave syrup or stevia). Also, you can add herbals like mint, elderflower, lavender, sweet wood-roof or rose petals. Alternative you can try fresh fruits e.g. raspberries, blueberries, watermelon or peach. Since everybody has a different taste, I would like to suggest that you play with the ingredients until you developed your receipt for your homemade lemonade.
Preparation for homemade lemonade
To be able to produce more than one glass of lemonade, I bought a few glass bottles last year. These are easy to fill and to clean since they have a wide opening. Lemonade should be served cold. Either you have ice cubes available or some space in the fridge to cool down the beverage.
Three lemons per liter
sweetener, we used agave syrup
elderflower, fresh 10 grams per liter
lavender, fresh 10 grams per liter
mint, fresh 20 grams per liter
Firstly squeeze the lemons and filter the lemon seeds. Wash the herbals or fruits you would like to add. Cut the herbals or fruits if necessary. Add a little water and the sweetener. Fill with cold water. The lemonade tastes the best when you give it two hours to let the herbals or fruit infuse. Taste the drink and add sweetener if needed.
It is very practical to take the bottles to a BBQ or a picknick too. If you serve the lemonade at home, I recommend beautiful glasses, some ice cubes and some sliced lemon or herbs for decoration.
Does it look delicious?
When you use organic lemons, you can cut the fruit skin fragile and put it into the lemonade too. The infusion is very delicious.
I hope this is a little inspiration. Let me know which flavor you like the most.
