It is already the third week of September, and in Germany, we have our first experiences with autumn weather. Since one week I need to wear socks, which is a clear sign of the change of seasons. Hence I show you my first proper autumn look today. Very surprisingly it is not one of my very girly skirt and cute top outfits. Today I played with the feminine military style.
Feminine military Style, an all-time classic
The military style can consist of cargo trousers, camouflage clothing, boots or military jackets. All of the named before can be found in every autumn/winter collection. I decided to incorporate three iconic pieces for my interpretation of the feminine military style.
Why is this look a feminine military style?
It is all about the little details that can make a huge difference. Let’s start with the coat. This coat has a feminine touch. Not only the shiny gold buttons on this thick and luxurious fabric but the tailoring makes the difference. You probably already know about my love for Balmain Jackets. When I found this coat, I knew I need to have it.
Another example for the feminine look of a military-style garment is the trouser. It isn’t a standard camouflage pattern. It is a flower mask pattern. The flowers make the appearance of the design more womanly. A trouser, so perfect for the upcoming season because of the color scheme. The shown model is from Hudson Los Angeles; the model is called Krista super skinny, color bramble.
Lastly, I will describe why I think the boots have a feminine look. Made out of matte leather and embossed a beautiful stitching are not the unique details. The shoelaces are hidden behind a leather bracelet. I bought the boots a few years ago at my local Chanel store. As already mentioned, a modified style is available in nearly every autumn/winter collection.
