My ballerina moment part one
After a few days, I convinced my parents that it is an excellent idea that I take ballet lessons too. It was so exciting to buy all the dance equipment, the dance dress, the tights and the dance shoes. Then I visited my first dancing lesson. I remember that it was not easy to follow and the teacher was rigorous and demanding. A few months later my age group had a show. Unfortunately, my teacher did not consider me.
A few months later the teacher had a chat with my parents. She told them that I have no talent to dance and she would recommend that I try something different. As a kid, this is something you don’ t understand and you are not willing to accept. Anyway, my next activity was swimming.
My ballerina moment part two
Because sometimes it is not that easy to let dreams go, I had a second attempt at the age of 35. First of all finding a course for adults was not as challenging as I thought. I booked a beginner course. Ten Saturday morning lessons. Again huge excitement when I brought my dance equipment. After the first lesson I knew that ballet dancing is a sport and exausting. Unfortunately my knee started acing after the third lesson and I had to give up. At least I have tried.
Everything starts with a dream. Sometimes we face a task, and we fail. In some cases, you should try again and again because failing is something normal. You have the chance to learn a lot from your failure and make it better or just different the next time.
Usually, I don’t use the word failure. I am a very curious and love to try new things. For me, it is more collecting experience and moments.
