MAC Cosmetics has a reward and recycling system for their customers. Since I had some empty containers, I have checked out the Back to MAC program for you.
What is BACK TO MAC?
MAC Cosmetics offers this service to help you to recycle MAC Cosmetic packaging. This helps to support the environmental protection. At the same time, it is a reward program for loyal customers.
It seems there are a few little differences in the different countries which I will explain in a minute.
For six empty MAC Cosmetics containers, MAC is rewarding you:
in Germany with one of their small eye shadows,
internationally with one lipstick.
How does BACK TO MAC work?
You can bring your empty containers to every MAC counter or MAC shop for return and recycling. The product packagings need to be empty and complete with pan and label on the back. For the rewarding, they won’t take any containers from re-potted products. There are no exceptions! Only this way MAC can ensure the returned item was bought and not part of a promotion. Of course, you can bring containers from re-potted and promotions for recycling.
I had Sign up to the MAC Card. Besides the participation in the reward program, you get information on new products and limited editions. On top, you get to exclusive events too. There are no costs for the card!
Which packaging is taking part in BACK TO MAC program?
Blush Compact, Cream Color Base, Skincare bottle, Eye Shadow pot, Foundation bottle/jar/tube, Lipgloss tube, Lipstick tube, Liquid Liner tube, Mascara tube, Paint tube, Pigment, Powder Compact, Quad Compact, trio Compact.
As you can tell from this picture, I had re-potted the Eye Shadows. Due to this matter, MAC has not rewarded me today. They insisted on the complete pot. -Including the pan and most relevant the sticker. I will store my containers and put the pans and sticker back on once I have finished the individual Eye Shadows.
BACK TO MAC is an excellent program to reward loyal MAC customers and help to support the environment.
