How to travel in style
Packing is either a passion or a pain. In these terms, it doesn’t matter if you are packing for holiday or a business trip.
The business travel edition
I travel twice a month from Frankfurt to Munich. The distance is approximately 400 kilometers. Mostly I travel by train, rarely I travel by aircraft. In the last few months, I have changed the way I pack my suitcase. For this business trip edition, I will pack for two days.
How I pack my suitcase
Firstly I check the weather at the destination I am traveling to. Then I put together the outfits I am planning on wearing including shoes. I roll my clothes instead of folding them due to two reasons. Reason one and the more important is that the clothes won’t crease or show folding lines. Second reason is the space efficiency. Rolling saves space!
What did I pack
For this two day trip in spring I did pack: pajamas, track pants, training shirt, two trousers, two tops, underwear, shoes, flip flops and a beauty case. My underwear is always stored in a separate bag. The shoes are always stored in a shoe bag for hygienic reasons.
The final step is to pack my handbags. Usually, I pack to bags. The big bag „my hand luggage“ is for my laptop, papers, notepads and other technical accessories. My handbag contains the usual daily stuff.
Suitcase or travel bag?
I personally prefer a trolley over a travel bag. And the best is you can put a bag on the trolley.
Either way, it pays off to buy good quality. This Rimowa trolley travels with me for 6 years now. It still looks quite good.
